First edition, first printing. Two volumes. Signed by the author and editor, Harlan Ellison. Original black boards with titles in gilt, green and purple to the spines, in dustwrappers. 'Dangerous Visions' is illustrated throughout with black and white chapter heading by Diane and Leo Dillon, 'Again, Dangerous Visions' is illustrated with black and white chapter headings by Ed Emshwiller. A very good set, the bindings square and firm, the extremities lightly rubbed, the spine tips with very slight bumping. There is offsetting to the endpapers of 'Dangerous Visions' and evidence of a removed bookplate to the front pastedown, the contents are otherwise clean throughout and without previous owners' stamps or inscriptions. Complete with the lightly rubbed, nicked and creased dustwrappers that are lightly faded at the spine and have a few short closed tears at the edges. Not price-clipped ($6.95 and $12.95 to the upper front flaps). Signed by Harlan Ellison in brown ink on the half title of both volumes. A landmark two volume anthology of previously unpublished speculative fiction, much of which challenged taboos within science fiction publishing.
