Full early 20th-century pebbled paper boards with title in gilt within a gilt-lined border and gilt cornerpieces, flat spine in five compartments of double gilt lines, gilt title on two, edges speckled blue. , The work is undated, but would have been published between 1812 and 1820, because Franzetti moved to No. 180 Via del Corso in Rome in 1812, and produced his final collection of copper plates in 1820., Size : Oblong 8vo., With 60 copper engraved plates (of 61), executed by Agapito Franzetti, including the title and 59 views of ancient and modern Rome. [A collection of 36 engraved views of Rome.] Rome: Agapito Franzetti at Corso, [the plates dated between 1797-1800, but probably c.1820]. 2° (645 x 482mm). 36 engraved views by Pietro Ruga, François Morel [i.e. Francesco Morelli], Vincenzo Feoli, Vincenzo Balestra and Domenica Pronti. (Occasional faint spotting.) Contemporary binding (extremities rubbed, spine more heavily with joints just starting to crack). The maps are little foxed and brownish.
