Begun as a zine devoted to spiritual issues within the framework of Krishna, *The Fifth Goal* began with some graffiti shots, but by the time of the fourth issue the editor had abandoned the Krishna movement, and the zine became a spiritual exploration of freight train graffiti. The final five issues, with their new cut-and-paste aesthetic, high contrast photographs of boxcar walls and interviews with the artists of previous generations, make it one of the most beautiful zines of its era. Blake Donner died in 2005. This book was a communal effort put together by his friends and by enthusiasts of the zine, who over the course of two years found each other in remarkable ways and slowly tracked down each of the original issues. The first edition of *The Fifth Goal* sold out before publication and was released at Printed Matter's 2015 LA Art Book Fair.

Nur bei der letzten Schrift über Christian VII. ist die beschädigte Stelle weiter oben (rechter Rand Mitte), hier mit Verlust einiger Buchstaben, die aus dem Textzusammenhang ergänzt werden können. Auf dem vorderen Deckel ein privater Besitz-Stempel in sehr interessanter Gestaltung (Schrift im Art-Deko-Stil); Name: Dr. J. G. von Ieding bzw. Irene von Ieding. Insgesamt ist die Erhaltung dieser extrem seltenen Schrift als noch gut zu bezeichnen. Sprache: Deutsch.
