Eine wesentliche Herausforderung für diese Funktionalisierung besteht derzeit in der effizienten, industriell umsetzbaren Integration von Funktionen in die FVK-Strukturbauteile selbst und der parallelen Entwicklung prozesssicherer, automatisierter und wirtschaftlicher Fertigungsprozesse.Das vorliegende Buch beschreibt alle notwendigen Schritte für die Umsetzung des Ansatzes für die automobile Großserie, von der Ermittlung der Anforderungen an ein automobiles Realbauteil über die Entwicklung und Bewertung von Ansätzen zur Funktionalisierung hin zu Konzeptentwicklung und zur Umsetzungsphase. Das Buch entstand im Rahmen des ARENA2036-Projektes 'Intelligenter Leichtbau durch Funktionsintegration (LeiFu)' als partnerschaftliche Kooperation von Wissenschaft und Industrie. Die beteiligten Partner sind die Firmen Daimler, Bosch, BASF sowie die Universität Stuttgart, das Deutsche Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) und die Deutschen Institute für Textil- und Faserforschung Denkendorf (DITF). Das Forschungsprojekt LeiFu wurde gefördert durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF); Förderkennzeichen: 02PQ5000 bis 02PQ5005.
