Original gilt-titled red cloth 13 x 18cm, without jacket. 351pp attractively illustrated with b/w drawings throughout + 16 unindexed double-page colour maps. Covers near fine with some marks, interiors fine. There is a Foreword by Arab League Secretary General Abdel Khalek Hassouna, and Envoi by Arab Tourist Union Secretary General A. Abu Rabah. While the authors are not credited, it was likely prepared by ATU Secretariat staff. It is undated, but is a product of the First Conference of Arab Tourism Ministers that took place in Cairo in Feb 1968, which took steps towards a unified tourism policy. The Arab League Council approved the policy, and charged the Arab Tourist Union to work with other relevant agencies to implement it (Foreword). As part of that initiative, this contains sections on Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Sudan, UAR Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, North Yemen, South Yemen, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Ras el Khaymah, and Sharjah. The 16 accompanying maps are not listed or titled, but bound in at the start of each section, showing the Arab Middle East and North Africa, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan, Iraq, Saudi, Syria, Libya, UAR Egypt (bound in upside down), North Yemen, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, South Yemen, and Bahran Qatar and the Trucial States.
