The incubation period, larval and pupal periods of Diamond back moth were observed as 2.4±0.6 and 5.6±0.65 days respectively. The adults longitivity was 7-8 days. Total life cycle ranged from 21-24 days. Bioefficacy of certain indigenous and chemical insecticides showed that all the treatments were found significantly superior over control in reducing Diamond back moth population. All the treatments Quinalphos 0.05% proved be best followed by Dichlorvos 0.05% concentration in controlling test insect under the laboratory and field conditions.
