Cloth. Zustand: Very Good Indeed. None (illustrator). The third edition of this educational work on the customs of Hinduism. Third edition. Reviewing the customs and cultures of Hinduism, including: society in India, the caste system, Brahminical life, and remarks on religion. Written by Abbe J. A. Dubois, a French Catholic Missionary in India known as Dodda Swami by the local people. He presented Indian cultures, traditions, thoughts and the varnasrama system in much of his work. Edges sprinkled red. Minor scattered light foxing, marginal annotations in pencil otherwise internally a clean copy. The modern binding is Fine.
