Jean Robin is considered a pioneer for having established an annual event of truly international scope, dedicated to dance in all its forms. Russisch-französischer Maler und Grafiker. 1917 dreimonatiges Studium an der Kunstakademie in Moskau. Mit dem Ausbruch des Bürgerkriegs Ende 1917 Eintritt in die Rote Armee. Wanderte 1920 durch den Kaukasus und die Türkei nach Frankreich, wo er sich in Marseille und Paris aufhielt. Dort sudierte er an der Académie de la Grande-Chaumière Malerei. Freundschaft mit Moïse Kisling und Pierre Bonnard. 1925 erste Ausstellungsbeteiligung im Salon d'Automne, 1927 erste Personalausstellung in der Galerie Charles-Auguste Girard. Entwarf in den 1930er Jahren Kostüme für das Ballets russes von Monte Carlo. 1933 Heirat mit Yvette Le Mercier. Malte Landschaften, Pferdebilder, Stillleben und zahlreiche bedeutende Künstlerporträts, z.B. von Henri Matisse, Georges Rouault, Georges Braque, Raoul Dufy oder Marc Chagall. 1942 erhielt er für seinen Kampf in der französischen Armee die französischen Staatsbürgerschaft. Téréchkovitch, Constantin (illustrator). First edition. Oblong, 10-7/8 in. x 12-3/4 in. , unbound as issued, with lithograph wrapper. Fine, in faded green chemise and slipcase, cracked along one edge. No. 157 of 170 copies, (total edition of 200 all printed on Rives), this is one of 20 copies reserved for the Société. With two additional suites of the 21 lithographs, the first is one of ten on japon hodomura, and the other, one of ten on vélin d'Arches. Signed by Piétri and Téréchkovitch.

No Binding. Zustand: Near Fine. Constantin Terechkovitch (1902-1978) Franco-Russian Constantin (Kostia) Terechkovitch was born near Moscow in 1902. In 1920 he went to Paris to study art at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. Welcomed by compatriots such as Mikhail Larionov and Soutine, Terechkovitch settled in Montparnasse, where his close friends included Moise Kisling and Andre Lanskoy. Terechkovitch was a key member of the loose alliance of colourists known as La Réalité Poètique. He was eventually to become the only Montparnasse artist of the between-the-wars School of Paris to maintain his own racing stable, an indication of the keen interest in sport and high living.
