Buch. Zustand: Neu. Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - This book presents a rough sketch of Dr. Yat-sen Sun's (1866-1925) requirements for modernizing China and elaborates on Sun's desire for the then China to implement a sweeping wave of economic reconstruction and development reforms concerning its railroads and highways, river conservancy and irrigation, new ports and modern cities, by absorbing international capital coming to China. In the preface to this book, first published in 1922, Yat-sen Sun posits, 'Unless the Chinese question can be settled peacefully, another world war greater and more terrible than the one just past will be inevitable.' In order to solve the 'Chinese question,' he suggested that the country's vast resources be developed internationally under a socialistic scheme, both for the good of the world in general and the Chinese people in particular. It was his hope that such a scheme would abolish the prevalent spheres of influence of the time, and that the class struggle between capital and labor could be avoided. In this book, Yat-sen Sun presents his solutions for three great questions of global importance: International War, Commercial War and Class War.

VI, 165 p., XIX, 16 full-page maps. Erste Ausgabe. In englischer Sprache. Äußerst selten, nicht im worldcat. Die zweite Ausgabe erschien 1922 bei Putnam in New York. Im Vorwort vom 20. Juli 1920 schreibt Sun Yat-Sen: "(.)In order to solve the Chinese question, I suggest that the vast resources of China should be developed internationally under a socialistic scheme for the good of the world in general and the Chinese people in particular. It is my hope, that as a result of this, the present spheres of influence can be abolished; the international commercial war can be done away with, (.)" etc. A similar map is found in the MUSEUM OF DR. SUN YAT-SUN collection: sunyat-sen-org/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=46&i d=6887 . Per the second link below, where a similar map is found in the MUSEUM OF DR. SUN YAT-SUN collection: sunyat-sen-org/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=46&i d=6887 . the first paragraph reads: "Map of China's Current Situation" Text Explanation ? Written time: July 14, 1900 Originally published: According to Sun Wenyixian's compilation and drawing: "Map of China's Current Situation", Tokyo, Toho Association, issued on July 14, 1900 (Tokyo, Toyo Bunko Collection)" . It continues: "Map of China's Current Situation" is a square color printed map with a scale of 1/2.95 million. The text attached to the picture includes the eight tables of "Fanli" and Zhiyan in the lower left corner and "China's national power in one spot" in the lower right corner. On the left side of the picture title on the top, there is also Sun Yat-sen's handwritten notes on the current situation of road construction in China. The content seems to be written in 1904 or 1905. Due to the large area of the map (about 73 square centimeters), if the plate is reduced, the place names in the map will not be recognizable, so this book does not include the figure and its legend, and other texts are included." . * en-wikipedia-org/wiki/Sun_Yat-sen * taiwantoday.tw/news.php?unit=4&post=6275 *.
