Quelques découpis sur les couvertures parfois réparés avec du scotch. Editions originales. Initiative originale en France, la Société d'aquarellistes français fut crée en tant qu'entreprise en 1879, elle avait pour but la juste rémunération de ses sociétaires peintres. Chaque année une exposition était organisée, les revenus tirés de la vente des tickets d'entrée, des catalogues et des ?uvres étaient ensuite répartis équitablement entre les peintres. Parmi les sociétaires quelques noms connus de l'art pré-impressioniste : Detaille, Worms, Leloir, De Beaumont, Jacquemart, Doré. ___________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________ENGLISH_DESCRIPTION : Original printed wrappers. Twelve volumes 4to (285x195 mm), Set of the nine first catalogs (1879-1887) and 3 catalogs for the years 1891,1892,1893. Foxings, edge uncropped. Few tears, some reinforced by tape. First editions. Original initiative in France, the Society of French watercolorists was created as a company in 1879, its goal was the fair remuneration of its painters. Each year an exhibition was organized, the income from the sale of entrance tickets, catalogs and works were then distributed equally among the painters. Among the members, some well-known names of pre-impressionist art: Detaille, Worms, Leloir, De Beaumont, Jacquemart, Doré . 2250g.
