Catlow (Brynner) is a renegade outlaw determined to pull off a gold heist, after having served in the Civil War, where he met Ben (Crenna), a marshal tracking him down. The third major US film to feature noted Mexican actress Lupe Velez, who also appeared in "The Gaucho" (1927), "Stand and Deliver" (1928), and "Wolf Song" and "Where East Is East" (1929).
