Berlin, Georg Reimer, 1868. Oblong folio (34.0 x 25.2 cm), 20 lithographed plates of which one coloured; loose in green portfolio with printed label. = Part of the zoological results of an expedition to the then little explored southeastern coasts of Africa, opposite Madagascar, now known as Moçambique (Mozambique, German: Mosambik). The subtropical fauna has many endemic elements and therefore it does not come as a surprise that this early exploration yielded many new species. The complete zoology deals with mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects. This is the atlas of the fish section (text volume not included) with fresh and brackish water fish, including a new shark. Some wear to top of spine; plates in very good condition, bright, clean. Dean II, p. 255; Nissen ZBI, 3139.
Berlin, Georg Reimer, 1868. The complete zoology deals with mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and insects. This is the fish section with fresh and brackish water fish, including a new shark. Endpapers of the text volume a bit rippled and discoloured. Some rather mild dampstaining to six plates, otherwise text and plates, apart from a few spots, in good condition. Dean II, p. 255; Nissen ZBI, 3139.

Berlin, Georg Reimer, 1882. Folio (ca. 34.0 x 25.0 cm). Atlas with 33 lithographed plates of which four partly coloured. Later black portfolio with gilt title on the front board. = This amphibian and reptile part of the zoological results of an important scientific expedition to one of the least-known parts of Africa. Dealing mainly with reptiles, despite the title. The German herpetologist Wilhelm Carl Hartwig Peters (1815-1883) was "one of the last to use 'Amphibia' for both amphibians and reptiles" (Adler). The atlas is complete with 33 plates, as follows: I-XXVI, IIIA, IIIB, IVA, IXA, XIIIA, XIVA, XIXA), of which four (XIIIA, XIVA, XIX, XIXA) partly coloured. The text volume is very rare and almost always lacking, as it is here. The plates are uncut, as issued, and, therefore, vary slightly in size. Portfolio somewhat stained and a small, marginal part with the cloth abraded; a few plates spotted, mostly lightly, one along the very outer margin, otherwise a very good set. Rare. Adler I, pp. 37-38; Nissen ZBI, 3139.
Berlin, Georg Reimer, 1864. 4to (32.1 x 24.3 cm). 61 engraved plates with captions, loose, as issued, in green cloth and boards portfolio with printed label on front board. = The botanical results of an expedition to the then little explored southeastern coasts of Africa, opposite Madagascar and now known as Moçambique (Mozambique, German: Mosambik), however, without the text. The subtropical flora has many endemic elements and therefore it does not come as a surprise that this early exploration yielded many new species. Some light rubbing to the boards, a few spots on some plates but in all a very good, complete set of the plates. Nissen ZBI, 3139.
Berlin, Georg Reimer, 1862-1864. Two volumes in two. 4to (32.1 x 24.3 cm). 610 pp. [xxii, iv, 304; 305-584]; 61[1-48; 49-60, 48A] engraved plates with captions. Uniform green quarter cloth over green paper boards with printed label on the spines. = The complete botanical results of an expedition to the then little explored southeastern coasts of Africa, opposite Madagascar and now known as Moçambique (Mozambique, German: Mosambik). The tropical to subtropical flora has many endemic elements and therefore it does not come as a surprise that this early exploration yielded many new species. This part was written by a host of specialist, including (alphabetically) N. J. Andersson; J. O. Boeckeler, C. A. Bolle, A. C. H. Braun, C. A. F. Garcke, J. K. Hasskarl, F. W. Klatt, J. F. Klotzsch, C. S. Kunth, K. Müller and H. G. Reichenbach. Some light rubbing to board edges, a dampstain in a corner of one plate (apparently from before binding), but in all a very good, clean and unmarked copy. Cat. BM(NH) IV, p. 1555; Nissen ZBI, 3139; Stafleu and Cowan, 7759.
