Para ilustrar todo ello se recurre a referencias de los manuales de enseñanza empleados y sus contenidos, al uso de la Historia con fines externos a la disciplina en diversos momentos históricos, a las líneas epistemológicas, al surgimiento y consolidación de la historia de género, a la trascendencia de los viejos Maestros que crearon Escuela, a la disidencia historiográfica con sus lecturas alternativas y referentes intelectuales rupturistas, a la importancia de los contactos e influencias nacionales e internacionales, etc. Y ello sin olvidar la vida cotidiana, social y política, en la que se tuvo que desarrollar la formación primero, y la profesionalización después, de varias generaciones de historiadores.
