For many years she edited CurtisÕ Botanical Magazine. She was also Clematis registrar for the Royal Horticultural Society. She was also known as Vicky Matthews. First edition was printed in April, 1935, and consists of 1500 copies, this being number 1461. Companion volume to the author's Succulents. Mounted plates. Slight browning to half title, lacking front endpaper with slight fraying at head of spine, otherwise sound, clean, close very good with clean text and plate.

Hand mounted color frontispiece plus 133 hand mounted color plates. Black and white text illustrations throughout. Illustrations by C. Rol, J. Voerman, Jr., and H. rol. All plates are accounted for and are in fine condition, except for a small crease to corner of the frontispiece. Jacket has slight shelf wear and sunning. End papers very lightly toned. Linen cloth is very clean with sharp corners. Text is clean and crisp. Near fine.
