Both books have coloured frontispiece plates and over a hundred black and white photographs of local villages and ceremonies. Whereas, 'The Alps' goes through each of the Alps and includes a more general introduction on the geology of the area and climbing. In cloth bindings with original dustwrappers and Brodart wraps. Externally, sound. Light bumping to head and tail of spine and very small mark on boards. Foxing on front and rear pastedown. Ink inscription on the front free end page. Dustwrappers for 'The Alps' is clipped with chipping to the head and tail of spine, otherwise, a closed tear to the front corner of 'Spain' with loss to the head and tail of spine and wear along the spine edges.
