Storica e longeva rivista di edilizia, architettura e arredamento fondata nel 1929 dalla Società del Linoleum appartenente, dalla fine dell Ottocento, al Gruppo Pirelli. Oltre a promuovere, con approfondimenti dedicati, i prodotti realizzati dal Gruppo - a partire proprio dalla pavimentazione in linoleum -, «Edilizia Moderna» si caratterizzava per attenti articoli accompagnati da eleganti fotografie su correnti architettoniche, progetti urbanistici e ultime mode nel campo del design, con l impaginazione e la stampa curate dal raffinato tipografo e saggista Guido Modiano. Capace di competere con altre importanti riviste di settore del periodo - come «Domus» e «Casabella», per altro progettata sempre da Modiano -, il periodico si avvalse dalla seconda metà degli anni Trenta della collaborazione di Leonardo Sinisgalli (a capo della propaganda della Società del Linoleum tra il 1936 e il 1937) e proseguì le proprie pubblicazioni anche in periodo bellico, almeno fino al numero triplo 37/38/39 del 1942 - dedicato proprio alle "costruzioni del tempo di guerra" - che rappresenta l ultimo fascicolo prima di una ormai inevitabile sospensione imposta dal momento storico. A partire dal 1948 la rivista sarebbe tornata con il numero 40/41/42 e il numero 43 incentrati significativamente sulla ricostruzione e sulle "costruzioni del dopoguerra", proseguendo la propria attività per un altro ventennio. 29,5 x 22 cm, brossure illustrate, numero di pagine variabile. Collezione completa in edizione originale. Tutto il pubblicato dal numero 1 del 1931 al numero 37/38/39 del 1942 in 31 fascicoli.
