Title page darkened, scattered light foxing and minor staining, a very good copy. An early seventeenth-century binding with two works by German Lutheran theologians and Orientalists. The first is an Isagoge (introduction) to the Bible by Ambrosius Reuden (or Reudenius) (1543-1615). (Isagogics is a branch of theology that is preliminary to exegesis and is concerned with the literary and external history of the Bible). The second is a detailed study of the Book of Daniel, by Salomon Gesner (1559-1605).
