Gautruche was a writer who published 'Histoire Sainte', 'Mathematicae Totius Institutio', 'Scopuli Novarum Dognatum', and more. Binding has a gilt stamp saying 'F. C. Raben' to the front board. This could possibly mean the book was formerly owned by Frederick Christian Raben. Raben was a Danish count and traveller, as well as being an amateur naturalist. Bookplate to the front pastedown, 'Constanter'. In a full calf binding. Externally, smart. A little rubbing to the joints and raised bands. Only a very little marking to the boards. Bookplate to the front pastedown, and a prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown. Institutional stamp to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
