Card. Zustand: Very Good. No Jacket. A set of 12 plates mounted on card, beautifully printed in full colour in a card folder, with another copy of first plate mounted on the front. No date of publication. The 12 plates are all from the Museo S Marco, Firenze. Fra Angelico (born Guido di Pietro, 1395 - 1455) was an Early Italian Renaissance painter described by Vasari in his Lives of the Artists as having "a rare and perfect talent". He was known to contemporaries as Fra Giovanni da Fiesole (Brother John of Fiesole) and Fra Giovanni Angelico (Angelic Brother John). In modern Italian he is called il Beato Angelico.
