Buch
Six volumes. Each 94 pages and with a lot of illustrations, partially in colour. Illustrated orignal covers. (Partially a little used). 27x27 cm * Artforum ist ein internationales Kunstmagazin. This issue has become vanishingly rare, due to a much-sought-after color ad featuring the artist Lynda Benglis in a transgressive pose. The issue also contains articles that may be of interest to other people. In addition to a 6-page article on Ms Benglis, other subjects are: Skyscraper style: Art Deco New York; John Storrs; Talking with William Rubin; On Bruce Boice; Jonathan Borofsky at 2,096,974; two articles on photography, by Max Kozloff; and book reviews. A few copies of this issue were damaged in a window leak years ago. They are complete but somewhat rippled. Many of the coated pages stuck together and have been separated, with intermittent internal damage. There is no staining. Thanks to a great deal of black ink that protected them, the opening pages with the Benglis ad are undamaged, apart from some warping. The pages containing the Benglis article are good. Only two such copies available. We will be happy to describe them. Most other issues of Artforum available. Also, please see our long runs. **Free domestic shipping with direct order.

This much-sought-after and vanishingly rare issue features on its second leaf a transgressive color photograph of the artist Lynda Benglis wearing sunglasses with white frames, a modest earring, a challenging expression, a nice coating of body oil, and a very convincing dildo at least a foot long. The accompanying scan, by Garrett Takiguchi and Ashley Loga, depicts Lynda attired for polite society with a nod to Georges Sand, another flouter of convention. Copies of this issue destined to be mailed to subscribers were bound with an additional white cover printed in red. It protected the vulnerable black covers from the usual rubbing and marks of handling common to this issue. This copy addressed to a subscriber in La Jolla, CA. Small hole in outer white cover not affecting printed cover; rear protective cover creased; printed covers show slight signs of handing, including a small, turned corner at top left corner of the rear printed cover; fine in other respects. This issue also contains articles on John Storrs, Bruce Boice, Jonathan Borofsky, photography, and other topics. Most other issues of Artforum available at more modest prices. Please see our long runs, as well. **Free domestic shipping with direct order.

This issue has become extremely rare, due to a much-sought-after color ad featuring the artist Lynda Benglis in a transgressive pose. Only the leaf containing the advertisement is missing. The 6-page article about her is present, along with articles that may be of interest to other people. They include: Skyscraper style: Art Deco New York; John Storrs; Talking with William Rubin; On Bruce Boice; Jonathan Borofsky at 2,096,974; two articles on photography, by Max Kozloff; and book reviews. As usual, the mostly black cover is worn. Only one such copy lacking the ad is available. The cover is heavily rubbed, with creases and pieces missing at the spine; the ad is lacking, and the staples removed; library stamp on contents page (legitimate discard); a little foxing on the edges. The rest of the contents are complete and in good condition. Many other issues of Artforum available. Please see our long runs, as well. **Free domestic shipping with direct order.
