All parts present apart from Number 42. All covers are colour and show a boy and girl with images of the Tower of London, a train, a car, an ocean liner, a biplane and an airship, an elephant and a giraffe. Each cover has a contents panel and the appropriate number for the issue with white (outlined in black) title lettering to front and advertising material for binders for the series to the rear. All issues have clearly been well read and some covers have slight tears to stapled spine and rubbing to all edges with some page corners turned up, but nevertheless clean and remarkably good for their age. Part 1's cover is slightly darkened compared with the others having been on top of the pile. Internally: clean although read, with many black and white illustrations and photos. 1460 pp. Pagination continuous so there is a gap for issued 42. A large and heavy set which will incurr increased postal charges outside the UK.
