The books is illustrated with beautiful watercolors by Ella du Cane, all with tissue guards with printed notes by Florence du Cane. The volume contains two folding maps, one of Cairo, the other of Egypt. Contains ten pages of publisher's ads, one with other books illustrated by du Cane, travelogs of Egypt and other countries and cities around the world. Laid in an illustrated bookmark of the Scottish Widows' Fund. Mylar jacket with small closed tears and chips. Binding lightly rubber with light wear along edges, but water-staining along bottom of back cover extending into few of the ad-pages. Half-title with light offsetting from remover paper laid in. illustrations and block in very good condition.
