Erstausgabe
Cahier/sewn. Zustand: Good copy. Première édition. Extrait du 'Recueil des travaux botaniques néerlandais' - vol. XXII. Matières: I). Introduction. II). Species of Pereromia without any whorls. III). Species of Pereromia with binding whorls. 1). P. blanda. 2). P. Langsdorfii. 3). P. pulchella. 4). P. rubella. IV). Discussion. V). Summary. 8 figures. Bibliography. Peperomia (radiator plant) is one of the 2 large genera of the Piperaceae family, with more than 1000 recorded species. Most of them are compact, small perennial epiphytes growing on rotten wood. More than 1500 species have been recorded, occurring in all tropical and subtropical regions of the world, though concentrated to Central America and northern South America. A limited number of species (around 17) are found in Africa. In botany, phyllotaxis or phyllotaxy is the arrangement of leaves on a plant stem (from Ancient Greek phýllon 'leaf' and táxis 'arrangement'). Phyllotactic spirals form a distinctive class of patterns in nature. Pag. 128 - 172. Size: 23cmx15cm.
