During WWI British Officer Michael Andrews (Cary Grant) is captured and awaiting execution when local Turkish commander helps him escape, revealing he is British intelligence officer John Stevenson (Claude Rains). Convalescing in Cairo, Andrews falls in love with his nurse, Rosemary Haydon (Gertrude Michael), who reveals she's secretly married to a man she'd briefly known a few years before, John Stevenson. Tall white self wrappers in the 1930s Paramount style. Title page dated May 15, 1935, rubber-stamped production No. 967. 135 leaves, with last page of text numbered C-52.
