Maryna Borodina

Maryna Borodina is a Ukrainian actress, television presenter, and writer. After studying acting in Los Angeles and working in the United States, she returned to Ukraine.

In 2019, she was diagnosed with ALS, a condition that progressively limited her mobility. Using Tobii Dynavox eye-tracking technology, Maryna learned to write and communicate with her gaze.

Her autobiographical novel Against the Wind blends lived experience with fiction and explores love, motherhood, resilience, gratitude, and the freedom of the human spirit.

Maryna continues to write, raise her two sons, and support others living with ALS.
