Vanessa Jones

Vanessa grew up climbing trees, wading in creeks, making crafts with the wrong tools, and playing with her dolls. She had a hard time settling in to something, but when she did, she'd be there for hours. Endlessly curious, Vanessa identifies with Alice in Wonderland and has always had a penchant for diving down rabbit holes. She also happens to love rabbits.

As an English and Theatre major with a Master's in Literary Studies, Vanessa taught college, high school, and middle school and created interdisciplinary curricula for an arts magnet program. Across her teaching career, she has designed children's classes and co-directed summer camps at the National Zoo, led school tours at Jamestown Settlement in Williamsburg, VA, and run her own Music Together studio teaching movement and music classes to young children and their caregivers.

During the pandemic, Vanessa left teaching to become a voice actor, a profession that satisfies her desire to play with words and meaning. She adores the visual and performing arts, and has she mentioned bunnies?

As a creative soul with ADHD, she wants other ADHD-ers to understand themselves better, to know they aren't alone, and to feel appreciated for the extraordinary pops of color, ideas, and thoughts their brains generate. And also...bunnies!
