Michael Dupont

Michael Dupont has spent a lifetime looking for Joseph. He could not find him in devotionals. He could not find him in commentaries. The man who raised the Son of God gets a handful of verses and not one recorded word, and yet Joseph held that child, taught him a trade, and carried him down desert roads out of the reach of Herod's soldiers. The promise to write about him was made in 1998, and then postponed by life, until it could not be postponed any longer. Nearly three decades of research, study, and honest delay went into finding him.

One of Michael’s earliest memories is of his father coming through the door smelling like sawdust. Michael grew up working beside his dad: a man with the hardest hands and the kindest heart. Michael lives in Florida with his wife. They have four grown children and six grandchildren, so he understands what it takes for an ordinary man to show up faithfully for the people heaven has placed in his care.

Joseph: Protecting the Messiah is his first novel.
