WRITER DON

Some authors write because they have something to say.

I write because my imagination apparently refuses to shut up.

I am **Writer Don**, alias **Prashant Chandola**—an MBA, a martial arts expert, a professional Forex trading expert, a globally connected personality, an incurable observer of human behavior, and, somewhere along the way, a writer.

I have never been particularly good at staying inside the lines.

My MBA taught me business.

The financial markets taught me humility.

Martial arts taught me discipline.

Life taught me that people are infinitely more complicated than any textbook admits.

And romance...

Well, **romance gave me an entirely different education.**

There was a time when I was proudly—or perhaps notoriously—a **Casanova**. I enjoyed the chase, the charm, the mystery, the madness and all the delightful complications that come with being young, curious and dangerously confident.

Today, however, I have apparently evolved.

**The Casanova retired. The dedicated lover took over.**

Whether that is called maturity or simply a spectacular plot twist is for you to decide.

Professionally, I live in the fascinating and unforgiving world of **Forex trading**, where currencies move billions of dollars around the planet while reminding me, sometimes painfully, that the market has absolutely no respect for human ego.

Martial arts gave me another kind of education.

I learned that real strength isn't about proving how powerful you are. It is about possessing enough control to know when power should—and shouldn't—be used.

Perhaps that is why I am endlessly fascinated by **human beings**.

We are wonderfully intelligent, hilariously irrational, spectacularly ambitious, deeply romantic, occasionally ridiculous and often completely unpredictable.

And those contradictions fascinate me.

I am globally connected, naturally curious and blessed—or cursed—with a rather **charismatic personality and an imagination that seems to have escaped supervision**.

I think about things.

Strange things.

Beautiful things.

Ridiculous things.

Things nobody seems to have thought about.

And then I ask the dangerous question:

**“What if?”**

That question is where my writing begins.

I don't write because I have figured out everything.

Quite the opposite.

I write because I haven't.

My books explore **wild, unusual, unheard-of and seemingly unthinkable ideas**, bringing them out of the shadows of imagination and placing them into the real world.

Some may make you laugh.

Some may make you think.

Some may make you uncomfortable.

Some may make you wonder whether I was completely sane when I wrote them.

I probably wasn't.

My writing is a peculiar cocktail of **wisdom, humor, imagination, philosophy, human psychology, romance, adventure, money, mystery, absurdity and the occasional beautifully inappropriate thought.**

I like taking an ordinary idea and turning it upside down.

I like taking an impossible idea and asking whether it might actually be possible.

I like making readers think.

I like making readers laugh.

And occasionally, I like making readers say:

**“What the hell did I just read?”**

If I have one philosophy as a writer, it is this:

**The world is already full of ordinary stories. Why write another one?**

So I go looking for the extraordinary.

Sometimes I find it.

Sometimes I invent it.

And sometimes I discover that reality itself is considerably stranger than anything I could have imagined.

I am **Writer Don**.

The MBA is real.

The martial arts are real.

The Forex markets are very real.

The Casanova was real.

The lover is definitely real.

But the imagination?

**That is where things become dangerous.**
