Sarah Reed

Sarah Reed is an artist, educator, and longtime fiction writer based in New Brunswick, Canada. She has spent years creating stories, characters, and worlds on the page, alongside more than a decade working in the nail industry, where creativity and an eye for detail became part of her everyday life.

Whether writing fiction or nonfiction, Sarah is drawn to the complicated parts of people: perception, identity, relationships, memory, contradiction, and the stories we build around what we believe to be true.

Her writing is shaped by a relentless curiosity, a tendency to notice patterns, and an inability to leave an unanswered why alone.

She is the author of Parallax and Saint Ruin. When she isn’t writing, Sarah is usually creating something, learning something, or following an unnecessarily elaborate train of thought that somehow does, eventually, have a point.
