Larry Savage

Larry is the creator and author of the epic high-fantasy series Guardians of the Mycelium. Driven by a lifelong passion for rich world-building, intricate magic systems, and deeply personal character journeys, Larry breathes life into sprawling multiversal epics where ancient lore and high-stakes action collide. When not mapping out the neon pathways of the mycelium grid or choreographing high-velocity elemental battles, Larry is often found finding inspiration in the outdoors. Whether he is snowboarding the Southern Alps or hiking through the rugged backcountry, he draws on his time navigating the mountain peaks and ancient forests of New Zealand to bring a sense of breathtaking realism to the fantastical worlds he creates. A New Network is Born marks the spectacular conclusion to his debut fantasy trilogy—a project fuelled by the unwavering support of his family and a love for stories that challenge the limits of imagination.
