Darla Durand spent thirty years keeping buildings and projects running in Alberta, most of it as the person everyone else's details ran through.
She wanted to be a writer from the age of ten and finally got to it in her sixties, once her evenings were her own again. The screenplay she wrote twenty-six years ago is becoming a novel, which is the book she always meant to write.
She writes under her own imprint, Sturgeon River Press.
Her memoir, Just a Sip, is her first book. It is not her last.
