Jade Blake

Jade Blake is an author, healing educator and experienced youth and community practitioner whose work explores trauma, survival patterns, inner-child healing and the journey back to self.

With nearly twenty years of supporting children, young people and families across residential care, education, youth services and children’s social care, Jade brings both professional insight and deeply personal understanding to her writing. As a care leaver, as well as a single mother, she doesn’t write about trauma from a distance—she writes from within the messy, painful, and often unexpectedly funny reality of surviving it (because sometimes, if you don’t laugh at the chaos, you might just cry into your tea instead).

Her debut book, Buried, NOT Broken: A Journey from Survival to Self, shares her raw journey through childhood trauma, addiction, depression, motherhood, breakdown and spiritual awakening. More than a memoir, it is an invitation for readers to gently recognise the survival patterns they may have mistaken for their personality—and to discover that healing is not only possible, but already within them. It holds the reminder that what can feel like a breakdown is often the beginning of something deeper shifting into place.

Jade’s approach is honest, compassionate and refreshingly human. She believes that we are not broken; we are often carrying wounds, beliefs and protective behaviours that once helped us survive. Through storytelling, reflection and practical healing tools, she helps readers understand what shaped them, reconnect with the parts of themselves they had to bury, and begin creating a life that feels like more than just survival mode—it feels like coming home to yourself.

She is also the creator of Trauma, Transformation, Evolution (.com)—a growing healing ecosystem offering free resources, reflective tools and guidance for those ready to understand their patterns and return to who they were beneath the pain. Because sometimes the breakdown isn’t the end of your story—it’s the beginning of your return to self.
