Mani Khanuja

Mani Khanuja is a Principal Generative AI Solutions Architect at AWS with over 20 years in AI and technology, and the co-author of The AI Steering Wheel and Applied Machine Learning and High-Performance Computing on AWS. Her research includes the paper "Keyword Search Is All You Need: Achieving RAG-Level Performance Without Vector Databases Using Agentic Tool Use," and her current work centers on scaling autonomous AI agents safely from personalization to stateful, memory-driven agents are some of the insights she shares weekly in her newsletter, The Agentic Enterprise. She is also a speaker at more than 100 conferences including AWS re:Invent, AIE World Fair, the Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC), and YouTube Webinars; she covers RAG, context engineering, distributed training, inference optimization and AI governance.

Mani lives in Seal Beach, California, where she stays active with long runs along the coast.
