Heather Donovan

Heather Donovan is a private piano and harp teacher and therapeutic musician. She has a B.A. and M.A. in music. Heather lives in Washington state and has been teaching piano and harp for over twenty years. Gustav's Musical World is her first endeavor as an author, and incorporates her love for music and her dog Gustav in the story. Gustav is a wirehaired pointing griffon who points out music notes on the staff to the reader while telling a fun story about himself. The goal is to promote music note recognition on the staff to the young child or beginning musician. Heather plans for this to become a series in which more notes are gradually added to the story.

Heather has two griffons and loves to spend time with them and her husband in her spare time. She also enjoys swimming and playing music for fun.
