Virginia Ryan

Virginia Ryan studied journalism at George Washington University and earned an MFA at Lesley University. She writes fiction and essays and is drawn to stories of complicated families, imperfect heroines, and loss. The Healer of Corky Row is her debut novel. Prior to writing this book, she held many jobs including journalist, marketer, housing advocate, yoga instructor, and caterer. She served in Thailand with the Peace Corps (the toughest job she ever loved). She is happiest when she’s on, in, or near the water. She lives on Cape Cod with her husband, their dog, ten chickens and one rambunctious rooster.
