LUIS CASTRO GAVELÁN. - Linguist and teacher of Spanish for adults in the United States. With 17 years of experience, he works with diplomats, academics and businesspeople. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism, a master's degree as a Spanish teacher at the Pontifical University of Salamanca, Spain. He also has a PhD from the Complutense University of Madrid. His doctoral thesis was "Teaching Second Languages to English-Speaking Students Using the Interactive Communicative Approach." He is the author of several textbooks for teaching Spanish; editor of other books related to journalism. He has participated as a speaker at various universities around the world, the last of them at the University of Kobe, Japan, during the CANELA Congress in 2024.
