J. J. Coelho

Novelist, screenwriter, director, and, in his spare time, tarot reader and English teacher. At 13, Joaquim Coelho wrote his first book, "Looking for Wonderland," published at 16 and spawning several sequels.

In 2017, he won a literary contest in his hometown with the poem "Frustration," published in Portugal in the anthology "Beyond Earth, Beyond Heaven" Vol. III.

While studying Cinema at Anhembi Morumbi University (2023), he delved into screenwriting and turned his book series into a TV project. He interned at the production company Pobo Filmes in 2020 and wrote scripts for advertising campaigns for brands such as Warner, Havaianas, Spaten, SEMP TCL, and Kondzilla.

In 2023, he wrote and directed the pilot episode of his series "Supercrime," which won 4 awards at the Beyond Border festival (India) – best director, best postmodern film, best pilot, and best special effects – and one in the best pilot category at the Bright Festival (England). Currently, he works as a script assistant for Netflix on a true crime series about the serial killer Pedrinho Matador.

Joaquim is an anxious individual who dedicates himself daily to writing, deeply passionate about literature and cinema. He is also a member of the Lewis Carroll Society of Brazil, the largest national society dedicated to the study of Lewis Carroll and his works.
