Dean Ulland

Dean Ulland is a retired History/Political Science professor with undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science. He holds an MA in History from Minnesota State, and taught for 18 years at Riverland Community College in Austin, Albert Lea, and Owatonna MN. Along with his wife Harriet, he lives on a farm near Corning, MN. They have 3 children and 8 grandchildren.

Dean has always had a passion for agriculture and history. His research and writing interests include local and Minnesota history, as well as topics in immigration and World War One history. His hobby is collecting rare books and historic documents, including many from southern Minnesota. He continues to present his research at history conferences, and at programs throughout southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
