Steven Reid Douglas

On January 23, I was Born and raised in the Bronx New York until 12 years old. My mom Betty Reid moved our family to Scranton Pennsylvania in 1998. Thereafter, I enrolled in the Scranton School district. however, turning to the streets at a young age. I spent my teenage life and most of my adult years in the prison system. During my third incarceration I self taught in Criminal and Civil law subsequently becoming a certified paralegal, and have won several cases representing myself including overturning a 22 to 44 year conviction on July 8th 2014. I was also an advocate for prisoners litigating against harsh conditions of their confinements. After 10 years of successfully litigating Civil and Criminal cases in State and Federal Courts for the Western and Eastern District of Pennsylvania including setting precedent cases. Through out my harsh incarcerations I attended groups in the betterment of myself learning how to be a productive citizen in society. I've experience a lot in my 36 years of being on this earth and have overcame many obstacles in which I intend to put in my autobiography. My passion of preparing and drafting persuasive legal brief's for Federal Judges led me to pursue my aspirations of wanting to become a writer. Aside from writing the ILL City series I am currently working on my next book a legal suspense novel. I am married with 6 children and one Grand Daughter.
