Pip Payne

Hi, I'm Pip Payne, creator of The Slimming Foodie, a place where healthy, delicious recipes come together with real, everyday life. What started in 2015 as a way to shed a bit of the weight I’d gained during my pregnancies, has since grown into something I could never have imagined — from sharing photos of our family dinners to reaching millions of people around the world.

I’ve always loved food, ever since I was a child snipping recipes from my Nana’s magazines to stick into my very first homemade recipe book. Today, I still get the same thrill from discovering new ingredients and creating meals that I can share with friends and family. For me, the joy of food isn’t something you have to give up, even when you’re trying to eat healthily. It’s about simple, balanced and varied meals that taste amazing, without any fuss.

The Slimming Foodie now has over 450,000 followers across social media, and the blog has been read by millions of people. It’s all about real food that anyone can make at home, even if you’re juggling the chaos of daily life (as a mum of two, I know that feeling well!). All of my recipes are tried and tested, packed with flavour, and designed to be easy, budget-friendly, and family-approved.

I’ve been lucky enough to write five cookbooks, which include more than 500 unique recipes that focus on everything from one-pot wonders to speedy midweek meals. All my recipes have one thing in common — they taste great, and they’re achievable, no matter your skill level in the kitchen.

When I’m not busy writing or dreaming up new recipes, you can usually find me with a cup of tea, chatting with friends, or out on a long walk on Dartmoor with my dog, Lupin.
