Philipp Trein

I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in Political Science and Public Policy at the University of Lausanne and Senior Fellow at UC Berkeley. My research interests cover comparative public policy (coordination and integration of policies, health policy, employment policy), comparative and European politics (multilevel governance and federalism), and economic voting (Germany).

I did my studies in Heidelberg, Germany, and Charlotte, North Carolina, in the U.S. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Lausanne and conducted also postdoctoral research in Lausanne. I spent the the academic year 2017-18 as Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. My teaching activities cover publicy policy, political theory, comparative federalism, and Swiss politics, amongst others.
