Adiela Akoo was born on the 4th of May in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. Her poems have been published in various anthologies and magazines. Lost in a Quatrain is her debut anthology featuring poems written over a period of 18 years. The poems are lyrical, contemporary, visual, romantic, spiritual, philosophical ... in a way, a chronicle of her life experiences, interactions and recollections whittled down to 48 poems.
Offering up this collection to you, is akin to handing over into your arms her new born, in the sincere hope that you receive it with the gentle love and tenderness with which it was conceived.

Reviews:
"... Adiela clearly loves playing with words that flow and dance upon the reader's tongue. Her skilful crafting includes depth, layering, tone, rhythm, vivid imagery and the presence of lived experience often provoking deeper thought. A very versatile poet whose poems linger long after you have read them."

"... so elegantly articulated in purity of thought. I was compelled from the first skim to complete the book in one sitting, captivated, as I paralleled your journey of life's questions. This anthology captures your essence of innocence, love, awareness and detail savored by seekers of 'substance for the soul'.. "

"... you have found your muse. The poems are beautiful. Though you have drawn from your own experience, most of them are universal and I often thought it could be happening to me... Keep writing."
