Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. This book is hard-bound in blue cloth with gilt and blind-stamping to the upper cover and cover, and blind-stamping to the lower cover. The covers show some scuffing and soiling, edge-wear and rubbing to the joints, corners, and spine-ends. There is some tearing to the upper joint. The upper hinge is cracked, with the upper cover loosening. The text-block is solid. The contents are bright and generally clean, with illustrations, but also with some scattered foxing and toning.

European-set mystery novel, involving "the formation of an international cordon of detectives," with the greatest sleuths from London, Paris, Berlin, Leningrad, and "even Warsaw" coordinating their pursuit of a cunning and murderous jewel thief known as The Panther. (There is no indication as to whether Inspector Clouseau was recruited for the team.).
