Yoni Baker

Born in South Africa, we moved to the States in 1979. Since I was a little boy, my parents took me to art shows and art exhibits. Remember eating lots of cheese and crackers, and talking with lots of adults.

Having both parents as artists, and an only child, I became quite imaginative in entertaining myself and creating grand adventures in the back yard. We always had animals around, including dogs. They were as close to brothers as it would get, but taught me a lot of responsibility.

Starting tennis early on with my dad, and swimming since I can remember. My mom always tells the story of how she was running late one night for art classes and I was in the tub while she fed me lots of vegetables. They ended up floating all around me.

My folks always got me to read, and were up on taking me to synagogue and learning all about Israel (my moms birthplace) .

Car rides with my beagle barking the whole way to Spanish Village in Balboa park would lead me into ceramics, pottery and eventually sculpting.

Since I was little, my mom would always tell me stories of those she brushed up against in life, so many stories. We share that ability and Ive always had a knack for meeting people.

With the original Terminator, my fascination with special effects makeup and body building grew.

Today all of that is very much with me, my love of art, of creating, of meeting amazing people from all walks of life, my sports, my Judaism , my special effects makeup, and my body building.

Who knew I would be writing a bio on Amazon? who knew years down the line as my mom did all those times ago in New York I would become an art model? Honestly its amazing, and with this latest venture of model posing in print books and ebooks there is something I know you will learn from and enjoy.
