Emmaline MacBeath

Emmaline has been writing in some form since she was about four years old. When she wasn't writing, she was imagining stories in her head. In high school, she wrote really bad poetry. But she didn't really start writing long stories until after she had a dream which continued for two nights in a row. It didn't repeat. It continued. Like a book. The following day, she sat down to write the story out and before she knew it, had written forty pages before getting up again. She hasn't stopped writing since.

Where does she get her book ideas? Sometimes from dreams, sometimes from real life (which often truly is stranger than fiction), and other times they just suddenly pop into her head.

When she's not drooling over books or writing young adult and middle grade fiction, she works as a genetic genealogist finding birth parents using DNA. You can find her working as a family detective at www.missinglinkdna.com.

The rest of her time is spent with her two sons in the Pacific Northwest.

You can find her fiction books under the pen name of Emmaline Rose and her nonfiction as Emmaline MacBeath.
