Mary was born in a tiny village in Shropshire, England, which still only offers the amenities of a church and a village hall. She grew up where tradition ruled and so, like all single women in the village, she was expected to leave education with the ambition of becoming a wife and full-time mother.
Mary escaped to university and city life. She spent her twenties dating online, trying to understand the male psyche, and endured a conveyor belt of boring and near-sexless relationships. She assumed these were her fault until she realised her boyfriends not only had low sex drives, but were unadventurous in the bedroom.
Mary eventually discovered one man who was liberated in being open about sex and in always striving to put her pleasure before his own. She married him.
Mary now lives in Cheshire, England, with her husband and two teenage boys. She has educated all of the men in her life to be responsive to new ideas and to put the needs of their women ahead of their own.
The CheshireBoy series is Mary’s initial attempt at writing.
