Hugo Damas

Hugo Damas is a writer, game developer, and author of the new novel We Are Terror.

A professional game developer, trained as a computer scientist, Hugo has spent well over a decade reading and writing works of fiction of variable lengths and reach. His latest novel is a spiritual sequel to the debut he released last year, By Death Defined.

Hugo has traveled all around the world, including the USA, Japan, Malta, UK, Germany, as well as others. He is a fan of doing tourism by getting lost in the midst of exploration and allowing adventure to emerge, an attitude that greatly influences his writing style.

He's a lover of history, particularly the narrative behind the start and end of great wars, empires, and historical figures. Mindsets across the times, philosophies for which people have died for -- Hugo always seeks to imbue his stories and characters with that same, real flame, no matter how fantastical their theme.

Born in Portugal, living in the UK, self-made bilingual, Hugo has loved and consumed stories in all genres, from comics to movies, and of course prose. Variety and adaptation are a part of his nature. Hugo is known by readers to write stories around dubious themes, hard to sell and harder even to buy, and yet to execute them in a way they truly work and become the unique experiences one would be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.
