Graduated in Composition, Piano and Singing, he also studied Orchestra Conducting, perfecting himself at the Music Academies of Siena, Assisi and Nice with prestigious Masters.

He received the Premio Campogalliani, the Diplomas of Merit at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, at the Schubert National Competition and obtained succes in International Competitions.

In 1985, in the Olympic Theatre of Sabbionetta, he had his teatral debut; later he had principal roles in works from the Baroque and contemporary periods, participating in important Festival.

He has many concerts in Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Spain, Brazil and South Korea.

He specialized in singing teaching following Master Class with Paolo Zedda (Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique, Paris), Marvin Keenze (Rider University, Princeton, New Jersey, USA) and Neil Semer (New York).

He is a member of the jury of International Competitions and holds several Master Class of Singing on the Italian lyric repertoire from belcanto to verismo.

Many of his students are making a brilliant international career and performing in important lyrical theaters.

As a Director he has collaborated with various orchestras, including "The Cameristi Virgiliani", Nuova Orchestra Italiana and Jeonbuk Symphony Orchestra.

Since 1995, after passing a national competitive examination, he is a professor of Lyric Singing at the “Arrigo Boito” Music Conservatory in Parma where he currently holds the position of Coordinator of the Department of Singing and Musical Theater.

In 2010 he was elected President of the Italian Singing Teachers Association, a position he held until 2015.
