Florian Hadler

Florian Hadler works as an author, researcher, and entrepreneur in the realm of digital culture, aesthetics, strategy, and transformation. He studied communication, media theory, and philosophy and obtained a Dr. phil. focusing on the cultural dynamics of the unknown.

In his capacity as visiting professor for creative entrepreneurship at the Berlin University of the Arts he builds bridges between academia, politics, and industry, strengthening the societal impact of arts and design, and advocates for new narratives for society-centered technology. He has lectured at various universities, is the founder of the interface critique journal and of the Agents of Transformation Platform, and editor of numerous books.

As partner and managing director of the creative studio STATE Productions, he develops and implements strategies for the public and private sector, targeting decision processes around technology, design, communication, and change. His entrepreneurial portfolio ranges from co-founding and managing technology startups, creative studios, and industry networks to designing and production of international award-winning products, services, and media.

Across his roles he collaborates and works with organizations such as the European Commission, the New European Bauhaus, Deutsche Telekom, and Volkswagen Group. Florian enjoys complexity and believes that visualizing thoughts can solve a lot of problems.
