Her publications mostly concern ancient philosophy, especially Platonism and Stoicism, patristic theology and philosophy, ancient Christian philosophy, theology, and history, the New Testament, the reception of Scripture, imperial and late antiquity, ancient religions, classics, and the reception of classical culture in Christianity. She views patristic philosophy (esp. Platonism) as part and parcel of ancient and late antique philosophy and promotes an integrative - as well as rigorous - study of antiquity and late antiquity.
